In the last few months, the news has been putting out lots of information on how vitamins and supplement studies have revealed that their effects are so-called ‘bogus’ and ‘a money grab’. I agree to a certain extent… If you are looking for a natural weight-loss pill or taking multi-vitamin gummy bears than yes, I would have to agree – you are probably wasting your money there. As for my my vitamin routine, I simply cannot live without it. Even just taking a few vitamins every single day goes a long way.
I think that it comes down to a couple things when it comes to vitamins. I think if you find the ones that you need for your body, it can do wonderful things. I also believe that the smaller amount of vitamins you take, the better. You do not want to waste hundred and hundreds of dollars on supplements that don’t work for you!
For me, I have always had terrible digestion issues (thanks to gluten for that). So my vitamin routine fully revolves around balancing my gut. I should note, I have a wonderful wonderful naturopathic doctor that has provided me with in my words ‘miracle treatments’. I have only recently fallen into vitamins (especially beneficial ones). But now that I have felt the way I do with them, I don’t think I could ever go back.
